Written by Marcel van den Arend
Setting up your browser to use a proxy server is quite easily achieved.Follow the step-by-step instructions below.Proxy settings for Internet Explorer 6.xFirst of all go to Tools -> Internet Options...

Choose the Tab Sheet Connections and then click on the Button LAN Settings...

A new screen will open Local Area Network (LAN) Settings, select Use a Proxy Server for your LAN... and enter the IP Address and Port Number of the proxy server you would like to use.

Please Note: You can also select Bypass Proxy Server for local addresses for any local network traffic.
You will now be able to surf the web via a Proxy server, if this is an anonymous proxy server your IP address will be undetectable to the requested server.
Setting up a virtual thin client is a great solution for businesses that are looking into utilizing a network-wide proxy service.
